Black women have traditionally convened at the table to share advice, offer encouragement, foster community or just to spill the tea. The individuals portrayed here exemplify this tradition. Rendered in the abstract, the art allows viewers to see themselves or to recognize figures reminiscent of loved ones. In the age of housewives who may at any time flip the table, these women demonstrate mutual support and resilience , grounded in the enduring legacy of ancestors shown holding them up.

All sales final. Artwork may be purchased at anytime during the exhibition, December 3, 2025 - January 24, 2026. However, it cannot be picked up until the end of the exhibition. Art must be picked up in Richmond, VA and cannot be shipped.
About the Artist
Faithe Norrell, a self-taught artist, who specializes in the juxtaposition of vivid colors with heavy texturing to achieve her hallmark technique. Her work has been shown in various galleries and juried into many auctions and exhibitions.
