This collage centers a familiar moment of care and connection at the kitchen table. The scene honors the kitchen as a domestic space and a site of transformation, storytelling, and resilience. Handmade paper embedded with hair fibers echo the tactile intimacy a layered histories carried through Black Hair. Madam C.J. Walker nods to the legacy of Black women's self-determination. These elements celebrate the layers of beauty, care, and community that have always existed at the table.
Ashley is an artist based in Richmond, Virginia, working at the intersection of collage, textile, and ceramics. Her practice blends design, craft, and storytelling, informing the way she moves between disciplines.

All sales final. Artwork may be purchased at anytime during the exhibition, December 3, 2025 - January 24, 2026. However, cannot be picked up until the end of the exhibition. Art must be picked up in Richmond, VA and cannot be shipped.
