30"x40"This painting is part of a series titled “The Water Brought Them,” which portrays women standing on the shoulders of ancestors brought to America through the international slave trade. This multimedia collage shows a woman who has crossed over the bridge in her life, surrounded by collaged images representing historical experiences of Black women. A table of memories illustrates those who have contributed to her achievements and recognition.

All sales final. Artwork may be purchased at anytime during the exhibition, December 3, 2025 - January 24, 2026. However, it cannot be picked up until the end of the exhibition. Art must be picked up in Richmond, VA and cannot be shipped.
About the Artist
Faithe Norrell, a self-taught artist, who specializes in the juxtaposition of vivid colors with heavy texturing to achieve her hallmark technique. Her work has been shown in various galleries and juried into many auctions and exhibitions.
